Sponsors

With the addition of Github and Mobypicture, our sponsors list for DPC10 is now full. We are very selective when it comes to our sponsors and only invite organisations that have something of value to PHP developers or who form a key part of our industry. That is why you won't find booths of recruitment agencies or SEO companies at our event, just genuine sponsors that truly support PHP developers with great tools or major achievements.

Allow us to introduce our awesome sponsors for this year:

Organizers

  • For the fourth time in a row Ibuildings is acting as the organizer and host of the Dutch PHP Conference. From techPortal to DPC, sharing knowledge with the PHP community has always been a priority.

Premium Sponsors

  • Zend hardly needs an introduction; they have been providing the PHP community with great tools for over 10 years now. Zend was kind enough to sponsor both a Zend Framework tutorial and send their best asset and Zend Framework project lead, Matthew Weier O'Phinney, over to DPC for this tutorial and an additional session.
  • For the last two years Microsoft has been actively engaging with the PHP community, ensuring that PHP, and the many applications in PHP's ecosystem, work well on Windows and integrate with Microsoft products. PHP was one of the first open source projects that received actual contributions from within Microsoft. Microsoft is hosting the WinPHP contest again this year, and will announce its winners at DPC. Microsoft have also been kind enough to send us Brian Swan to give his presentation on PHP on Windows.
  • Oracle has always been a fan of PHP, ensuring interoperability with their database products. Since they have acquired SUN, they are now also the company behind the popular MySQL database server and tied even more closely into our community. Oracle is sending PHP core developer and MySQL employee Johannes Schlütter to deliver his excellent session "Under PHP's Hood".

Sponsors

  • Github is the number one hosted environment for projects that use the Git source control system. They have joined forces with us at Ibuildings to sponsor the Friday evening social, together we make it possible to have almost 3 hours of free drinks!
  • Facebook is a heavy user of PHP; they are one of the most high traffic PHP installations on the planet, and they are widely admired for giving away many of their own tools as open source. Facebook are sending their Open Source Advocate Scott MacVicar to DPC. Scott, who is also a core developer for PHP, will present a talk on Facebook's PHP tools such as Hiphop.
  • php|architect is well known for their magazine, wide range of books, informative training courses and the php|tek conference in Chicago. They have again decided to provide all DPC visitors with php|architect magazine subscriptions, and on top of that they are sending Cal Evans to deliver a presentation at DPC!
  • ActiveState is the company behind the popular Komodo IDE that many PHP developers use to write PHP code; ActiveState are sponsoring a $50 discount on Komodo IDE for all attendees, and gave us 2 licenses to raffle during the DPC closing - an awesome prize.
  • MobyPicture is one of the leading free picture services for Twitter users. They will be running an onsite Twitter backchannel which allows us to visualize tweets and pictures during the conference - look out for the displays around the venue.

We would like to thank all sponsors for joining with us for this event and for making DPC an even better event for our attendees!!
